Yes, at least people are taking advantage of the few community gardens in your area. Either join the waiting list or start a garden of your own! We expect 3-5 new community gardens in Greenville for 2012. So exciting!

This is such a great thing to do for communities. Where I live, we have 2 community gardens and they are already full. No vacancies! Ugh! But that’s okay…at least people are taking advantage of it.

These deserve everyone’s support and continued creation.

Love the fact that community gardens are becoming so prevalent. What a great way not only to give people access to healthier food but the experience of being able to say “I grew that” instills such a sense of pride!

Before the Swamp Rabbit Trail opened, I rarely ever visited Travelers Rest. Now I bike there every weekend from my home in downtown Greenville.

Fantastic to see progress pay off with success in Travelers Rest! Let’s see the ‘Rabbit hop to Conestee and beyond – these areas are ripe for redevelopment and would definitely benefit from the bustling traffic of the trail.

Your post was very nice and interesting. My mom asked me yesterday if there was a purple heart stamp that lists the name of the solder killed. My dad’s father died in WWII. He has a purple heart. Do you have any ideas about a personal name on the stamp?

I never had the opportunity to meet this man of vision, however, I have the pleasure of enjoying his dream everytime I’m downtown.
